Memorial health System’s Belpre Emergency Department Ranked in the Top 10 Percent in the Nation
(July 8, 2016, Marietta, Ohio)
Ever since they starting seeing patients, Memorial Health System’s emergency department has exceeded their patients’ expectations. Since July of 2014, when their doors first opened, they have been ranked at the top 10 percent or better in the nation by the NRC Picker. In simpler words, the patients that go to the emergency department are amongst the top 10 percent of the most satisfied patients that go to any other emergency department in the nation.
The National Research Corporation (NRC) Picker has the goal of improving patient centered-care. The corporation focuses on the patients’ experience within every health system and provides a transparent recording of results. The NRC Picker then provides the health systems’ leaders with the collected data so that they can in turn improve their strategic planning and better their system.
The Belpre Emergency Department is certainly focused on patient centered-care. It is a part of the core values of both the emergency department and Memorial Health System to focus on patients’ needs. Memorial Health System is proud to have such a hardworking and dedicated team to achieve such prestigious standards of health care.
