November 7, 2011 - Marietta Memorial Hospital’s Blood Bank Partners With American Flags & Poles to Honor Veterans During November 10 Blood Drive
American Flags & Poles is teaming up with Marietta Memorial Hospital’s Blood Bank to honor our veterans. Blood donors that come out on November 10 to donate blood will receive a free American flag.
On Thursday, November 10 from noon – 3 p.m., MMH’s Blood Mobile will be holding a blood drive at the Armory in Marietta, Ohio to honor our veterans. Community members are encouraged to show their support for our veterans by donating blood. Each blood donor will receive a free three foot by five foot American flag, a $22 value, donated by Jim and Sylvi Caporale, owners of American Flags & Poles.
“Jim came up with this idea as a way to give back and honor our veterans while also helping with needed blood donations,” says Sylvia Caporale, owner of American Flags & Poles. Blood donations are something near and dear to Sylvi’s heart as she had donated over 4 gallons of blood over the past 20 years.
