SELBY GENERAL HOSPITAL AWARDED THE HEALTHCARE FACILITIES ACCREDITATION PROGRAM (HFAP) ACCREDITATION
(August 4, 2016, Marietta, Ohio) – Selby General Hospital of Memorial Health System was awarded accreditation from the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP), an independent accreditation organization recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). After the HFAP team conducted an extensive and objective review of the quality and safety Standards of Selby General Hospital, they earned the accreditation.
“Selby General Hospital clearly demonstrates a commitment to quality patient care,” said Lawrence Haspel, DO Chairman of the Bureau of Healthcare Facilities Accreditation for the HFAP. “We base our decision on federal standards, as well as recognized national standards for patient safety, quality improvement and environmental safety. Selby General Hospital met or exceeded the standards in every case.”
“We’re proud to achieve this prestigious distinction,” said Steve Smith, President of Selby General Hospital, part of Memorial Health System. “The awarding of the HFAP accreditation is a significant achievement that recognizes our commitment to providing outstanding care to our patients and our community. In fact, quality is consistently the priority focus in our strategic plans and goals.”
