$31,490 granted by Memorial Health Foundation and Sisters Health Foundation for the Purchase of an X-Ray Phantom for Radiologic Technology Program

March 7, 2017, Marietta, Ohio –

Memorial Health System’s School of Radiologic Technology is purchasing a “Full Body X-Ray Phantom” for students. Memorial Health Foundation and Sister’s Health Fund generously donated the funds to purchase the Phantom. Memorial Health Foundation and Sisters Health Foundation granted $15,745 each for this education tool.

On Friday, March 10, 2017, at 2 p.m., a viewing of the X-Ray Phantom as well as a release of her name will be held. (401 Mathew Street, first floor of Marietta Memorial Hospital—main building—Diagnostic Imaging)

About the X-Ray Phantom:

The X-Ray Phantom is a real encased human skeleton that is able to be positioned to be used for x-ray training. Students are able to strengthen their skills with the phantom by being able to see the end result of an actual x-ray. Normally, students train by positioning one another but cannot radiate each other due to radiation exposure.
