Memorial Health System’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is an essential component of the recovery process, helping patients with heart disease, a heart attack or other heart-related disorder, resume an active lifestyle. Our nationally certified program combines medical supervision and cardiac monitoring, education, dietary and individual counseling, with a progressive exercise program to help individuals reach and maintain a high level of heart fitness.
Once a patient is referred by a physician, we provide a thorough initial assessment with a physician and one of our cardiac rehab nurses, tailoring a cardiac rehab program that meets a patient’s individual needs.
Our cardiac rehab program offers many benefits. It can improve the ability to carry out activities of daily living, reduce heart disease risk factors, improve quality of life, improve outlook and emotional stability and increase the knowledge of heart disease and how to manage it properly.
