Baby acne

September, 21st, 2024

, ,

Small bumps that appear on a baby’s cheeks, nose, and forehead.

Description

Baby acne often develops within two to four weeks after birth. It may look worse when a baby is fussing or crying. It’s also known as neonatal acne.

Overview

Symptoms include small, inflamed bumps on a baby’s cheeks, nose, and forehead. Babies also develop tiny, white bumps known as milia.

Symptoms

The acne isn’t preventable and usually goes away on its own. If it lasts several months, a pediatrician may recommend a medicated cream.
