A cherry hemangioma is a common, noncancerous skin growth. It’s made of blood vessels. This type of growth is common after age 30.

Overview

A cherry hemangioma is cherry red and can be smooth or raised. It can be up to 1/4 inch in diameter.

Symptoms

Usually, treatment isn’t needed. The growth can be removed by burning, freezing, or a laser.
