Symptoms include pain and swelling near the base of the thumb, difficulty moving the thumb and wrist, and a “sticking” or “stop-and-go” sensation in the thumb when moving it.

Symptoms

Treatment may include pain relief medicines, physical or occupational therapy, or surgery. Treatment is generally successful when started early.
