Demyelinating disease is any condition that damages the myelin sheath. This sheath protects the brain and spinal nerves. The condition causes nerve inflammation. As a result, nerve impulses may slow or stop.
Overview
Symptoms include vision loss, muscle weakness, and loss of sensation.
