February, 19th, 2025

, ,

Heterochromia iridum may be part of a genetic condition. It also may be caused by a growth on the eye or happen after an eye injury.

Overview

Sometimes, the color of the iris in one eye might be different from that of the other eye. For example, one eye is blue and the other brown.

Symptoms

An eye exam should be done to check for a cause of heterochromia iridum. The condition is usually harmless, and most people do not need treatment.
