  • Choking
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Trouble swallowing
  • Blood in phlegm

When to seek immediate medical care

Make an appointment to see a doctor if:

  • Fever of 100 F (38 C) or higher
  • Phlegm is yellow or green
  • Wheezing
