Death of cells or tissue through disease or injury.


Description

To prevent infection, run water over minor injuries to clean them, and remove any debris with tweezers. A thin layer of antibiotic ointment may be used for dirty wounds. Cover the injury with a sterile dressing. Once necrosis is present medical care is needed.
