Carne asada
Serves 4
Tip: Maggi seasoning sauce is a dark, vegetable-based sauce. It’s similar to soy sauce but contains no soy.
- Trim excess fat from 1 pound skirt steak.
- Add 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce.
- Add 1/4 cup olive oil.
- Add juice of 2 limes.
- Add 2 tablespoons minced garlic.
- Add 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro.
- Add 1 tablespoon Maggi seasoning sauce.
- Add 1 tablespoon sugar.
- Marinate for 4 hours.
- Cook for 2 to 4 minutes per side.
- Cut into 2-inch thick pieces.
- Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon Kosher salt.
