Citrus seared salmon

Serves 4

Tip: This sauce is also tasty on sea scallops. It will keep up to 7 days in the refrigerator.

  1. Add 4 4-ounce salmon filets.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon cumin.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon orange zest.
  4. Add 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt.
  5. Add 1/4 cup orange juice.
  6. Add 1/4 cup apple juice.
  7. Add 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard.
  8. Add 2 teaspoons honey.
  9. Add 1 teaspoon ground black pepper.
  10. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil.
  11. Place salmon seasoned side down.
  12. Cook for 2 minutes.
  13. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
  14. Set aside and cover.
  15. Add juice and seasoning mixture to saute pan.
  16. Add 1 teaspoon cornstarch.
  17. Cook until mixture thickens.
  18. Drizzle sauce over salmon.
