Our lifestyle medicine providers are certified by the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. We aim to prevent, arrest, and reverse chronic lifestyle related diseases, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease (which causes strokes and heart attacks), and their risk factors such as overweight and obesity, high blood pressure, abnormal cholesterol, lack of physical activity, stress, and unhealthy habits such as tobacco use and consumption of excess alcohol and sugared beverages.
Lifestyle Medicine is also helpful in the prevention and treatment of many common cancers, autoimmune diseases, heartburn, chronic kidney disease, depression, anxiety, pain, and other common illnesses.

In our group classes, you will learn about healthy living together in a shared medical appointment.
These eight 90-minute sessions consist of healthy foods to sample, educational presentations, and group discussion. You will receive weekly assignments that will be practical, educational, and hopefully fun!
These visits will be billed to insurance and are free of any co-pays or other out of pocket expenses. However, not all insurance companies accept these codes and co-pays may apply, depending on your insurance plan. We recommend contacting your insurance provider and ask about out of pocket expenses prior to coming to a lifestyle medicine group class. Self-pay patients will be charged $16 per session. If you have a financial hardship, please let us know as we have resources for you!
Optional follow up individual visits can be scheduled with one of our lifestyle medicine specialists, exercise experts, or health coaches to review your progress, and set personal goals for your continued new healthy lifestyle.
Other requirements:
If you are on medication or have a significant illness, you need to be under the care of a primary care or specialty provider, or be willing to begin a relationship with a new provider. Our provider referral line can help get a patient established with a new primary care provider.
Any charges associated with another provider are your responsibility, and not provided as part of our lifestyle medicine program.
