Department of Lifestyle Medicine

Our lifestyle medicine providers are certified by the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. We aim to prevent, arrest, and reverse chronic lifestyle related diseases, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease (which causes strokes and heart attacks), and their risk factors such as overweight and obesity, high blood pressure, abnormal cholesterol, lack of physical activity, stress, and unhealthy habits such as tobacco use and consumption of excess alcohol and sugared beverages.

Lifestyle Medicine is also helpful in the prevention and treatment of many common cancers, autoimmune diseases, heartburn, chronic kidney disease, depression, anxiety, pain, and other common illnesses.

Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine

Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) uses hands-on techniques to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness or injury. During this type of treatment, the provider moves a patient’s muscles and joints using techniques that include stretching, gentle pressure, and resistance. Osteopathic physicians can treat complicated issues by using OMM along with or even to replace, drugs, or surgery.
