One Year of Exceptional Pediatric Care

Our Pediatric Emergency Department celebrates an entire year of providing dedicated care to our region's children.

Winter 2024

Located at our Belpre Medical Campus, our Pediatric Emergency Department (PEDs ED) has officially been in operation for an entire year!

To celebrate our region’s only emergency department dedicated to our community’s youngest members, we’d like to share a brief overview of our first year!

 As of September 2024, the PEDs ED has seen 4,124 patients—that’s roughly 17 patients a day!

This fully functioning emergency department focuses on caring for patients between the ages of one and seventeen, meaning that our staff solely specializes in children and is uniquely trained to care for this population.

Since we’re just like a regular emergency department (just kid-focused!) we are equipped to deal with a variety of concerns. From orthopedic injuries and respiratory symptoms to snake bites and the flu—we’ve seen it all!
