Memorial Health System Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Awarded Blue Cross Blue Shield Distinction for Maternity Care
Memorial Health System is proud to announce that their Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) has been recognized by Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) as a Blue Distinction Center for Maternity Care.
This recognition indicates that the department has demonstrated expertise and a commitment to quality care for vaginal and cesarean section deliveries, as well as better overall patient satisfaction and a lower percentage of early elective deliveries when compared to non-designated facilities.
“We are honored to receive this national distinction,” says Sarah Oldaker, Senior Director, Inpatient Services and Chief Nursing Officer for Marietta Memorial Hospital. “This emphasizes our commitment to supporting our patients with the highest quality of care, right here at home. Not only at delivery but throughout the entire pregnancy and postpartum period.”
As only the 2nd department within the health system to receive this honor, a BCBS Distinction recognizes Memorial Health System’s Department of OBGYN as a top choice provider for patients with BCBS insurance coverage and indicates that they have met all required maternity metrics for top-notch quality care.
