Memorial Health System Signs Multi-Year Contract with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield
A multi-year contract renewal has been approved and signed by both Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Ohio and Memorial Health System. This contract extends through September of 2025, ensuring Anthem’s members in the Mid-Ohio Valley will retain in-network health plan benefits with the reginal health system for years to come.
Of Memorial Health System’s patient base, 12% are Anthem members, many of whom utilize the health system for its top-rated care, including primary care annual visits, emergency care, and specialty services such as neuroscience, oncology, and cardiology treatment. With this contract extension, Memorial can continue serving surrounding communities, treating our area’s most prominent health concerns, while patients can rest assured that they have access to affordable healthcare.
Scott Cantley, President & CEO of Memorial Health System, states, “We are pleased this extended contract will give Memorial Health System patients stability and access to our integrated network. As this community’s health system, we want to ensure the greatest access, experience and highest-quality care for everyone.”
“This long-term agreement assures that Mid-Ohio Valley consumers will continue to have affordable access to quality healthcare,” said Jane Peterson, president of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Ohio. “We’re excited to extend our partnership with Marietta Memorial as we work together to serve this community.”
