Memorial Health System's Wound Care Center Recognized for Clinical Excellence in Patient Satisfaction and Wound Healing Rates
Memorial Health System’s physicians, leaders, and clinicians are proud to be a recipient of the Center of Distinction award by Healogics®, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. The Center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for twelve consecutive months, including a patient satisfaction rate higher than 92%.
“This is great recognition for our Wound Care team and I’m proud Memorial Health System continues to be recognized for our excellence in delivering care,” said Scott Cantley, CEO for Memorial Health System. “Our physicians and staff go above and beyond each day to make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families. We appreciate the recognition as we live out our mission to improve the health of the communities we serve.”
Memorial Health System’s Wound Care Center is a member of the Healogics network of over 600 Wound Care Centers® and offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds which have not healed in a reasonable amount of time.
Advanced wound care modalities provided by our wound care experts include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, and biosynthetic dressings. The Center also offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which works by surrounding the patient with 100% oxygen to help progress the healing of the wound.
“This distinction shows the hard work of all the staff, providers, and support personnel,” said Dr. Steve Richards, medical director of the Wound Care Centers. “We are proud and thankful to be a part of the care of our patients in the Mid-Ohio Valley.”
