Memorial Health System Wound Care Centers Recognized as a Center of Distinction

Memorial Health System’s Wound Care Centers at Marietta Memorial Hospital and the Belpre Medical Campus have been named Centers of Distinction by Healogics®, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. The centers achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for twelve consecutive months, including a patient satisfaction rating higher than 92%. This is the third consecutive year that both Marietta and Belpre have been award winning centers for wound care.

“We are extremely proud of the work that we do at our Wound Centers in Belpre and Marietta. The providers, nurses, and every staff member always go above and beyond for the patients,” says Jeremy Woodard, wound care program director. Our goal is to ‘Find’ every wound in the area, ‘Treat’ it effectively, and ‘Heal’ it in a reasonable timeframe. Our Mission statement is that simple: Find. Treat. Heal.”

These wound centers are members of the Healogics network of over 600 Wound Care Centers® and they offer highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections, and other chronic wounds which have not healed in a reasonable amount of time.

Advanced wound care modalities provided by our wound care experts include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings, and growth factor therapies. These Centers also offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which works by surrounding the patient with 100 percent oxygen to help progress the healing of the wound.

Healogics® – Headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla., Healogics is the nation’s wound healing expert. Last year over 300,000 patients received advanced wound care through a network of over 600 Wound Care Centers.
