In fact, if a patient has an inpatient stay at one of our hospitals, they will most likely have a follow-up appointment with one of our primary care providers. This ensures that our patients are healing well so they can become the healthiest version of themselves.

Our online portal, myMemorialChart, offers our patients personalized and secure online access to portions of their electronic medical record (EMR), where our providers maintain each patient’s health information. myMemorialChat enables our patients to securely manage and receive information over the internet, message their provider, get prescription refills, and more.

Coordinated Care with Specialty Providers

When needed, our primary care team can coordinate care with specialty providers across the Memorial Health System network. We work to streamline each patient’s care so they can focus on getting well, instead of spending lots of time coordinating medical appointments and specialists.

Training the Next Generation of Providers in Our Family Medicine Residency Clinic

Conveniently located on Belpre Medical Campus, our Family Medicine Residency clinic houses our current practicing residents and their teaching physicians. These residents are physicians who have graduated from medical school and are training to specialize in family medicine, also called primary care. They train for three years with an experienced, board-certified teaching physician, honing their skills to care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Teaching physicians review and supervise all patient visits conducted by the residents. During the first six months of the residency, the teaching physician participates in the patient visit. Therefore, the resident physician’s care is covered by the same insurance plans as their supervising physician’s plans.
