What is a Radiation Oncologist?
As a radiation oncologist, Dr. Ahmad uses ionizing radiation in the treatment of cancer. Radiation can be given either alone or in combination with surgery and/or chemotherapy. It may also be used to palliate symptoms related to cancer and is sometimes used to treat benign lesions.
Education and Experience
Dr. Ahmad completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, New York. He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at Case Western Reserve University Hospital, as the chief resident. He is board certified in Radiation Oncology, and Internal Medicine.
