Get to Know Susie Carr, NP

As a nurse practitioner, Susie works side by side with providers to perform physical exams, and procedures, order diagnostic and laboratory tests, and diagnose and treat common medical conditions. Nurse practitioners can also serve as a patient’s regular healthcare provider.

Education and Experience

Susie has devoted 25 years of her career to healthcare, bringing a wealth of experience and compassion to her patients. She began her journey at Wood County Technical Center in Parkersburg, West Virginia, where she became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She later earned her associate’s degree in nursing from Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio. Throughout her career, Susie has gained valuable experience working in various specialties, including medical-surgical care, emergency medicine, pain management, and inpatient oncology. Driven by her passion for patient care, she pursued a master’s degree in nursing, enabling her to serve as a family nurse practitioner for 15 years. For six years, Susie has focused her expertise on the specialty of oncology and hematology, providing compassionate, specialized care to patients and their families.
