I became a medical provider because of a life threatening injury that happened when I was six years old. I ended up in the hospital for an extended amount of time. The doctors and nurses not only saved my life, but were so kind and caring during my stay, keeping me company when I often had no visitors or family present. As I grew older, I often looked back at that time, and decided I wanted to go into medicine so that I could make that kind of impact in someone else’s life.”
