What is a Cosmetic Surgeon?
As a cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Hernandez performs surgery on patients in need of correction of the body, primarily for aesthetic purposes. She helps to reconstruct body parts and uses cosmetic techniques to restore areas to improve function and/or enhance appearance, ultimately providing her patients with a boost in self-confidence and a more positive outlook on their appearance. Areas that are included are the face, forearms, breasts, chest, abdomen, thighs, legs, and more.
Education and Experience
A board-certified general surgeon specializing in cosmetic surgery, Madelyn Hernandez, MD received her medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Science in Washington, D.C. before completing her residency with Christiana Care Health System in Newark, Delaware. Following her general surgery residency, Dr. Hernandez attended the Dr. Mandell-Brown Plastic Surgery Center in Cincinnati, Ohio for a cosmetic surgery fellowship.
