What is a Radiation Oncologist?

As a radiation oncologist, Dr. Keyser uses ionizing radiation in the treatment of cancer. Radiation can be given either alone or in combination with surgery and/or chemotherapy. It may also be used to relieve symptoms in patients with certain cancers.

Education and Experience

Douglas Keyser, MD completed his residency in radiation oncology at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, after completing an internal medicine residency at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio. Before, Dr. Keyser earned his medical degree from Northern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Rootstown, Ohio.
