What Is an Orthopaedic Provider?

As an orthopaedic (ortho) provider, Dr. Krivchenia is trained in diagnosing and treating conditions that affect the musculoskeletal system. Specialty areas of orthopaedics include the spine, joints, hands, feet, sports medicine, and trauma surgery. Ortho providers focus on restoring the function of injured patients and getting them back to being active with surgical and/or nonsurgical options.

Education and Experience

Gregory Krivchenia II, MD is a Marietta native with over 30 years’ experience. He is highly experienced in the art of orthopaedic surgery, having performed thousands of successful replacements. He is best known for his minimally invasive and cutting-edge approach to total hip and knee replacements. His surgical expertise is well known among physicians who have often looked to him for additional training. Dr. Krivchenia completed his internship at the University Hospital, an orthopaedic surgery residency at University of Cincinnati Affiliated Hospitals, and attended the University of Cincinnati Medical School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a member of the Ohio and West Virginia Orthopaedic Society; Fellow, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery; member, American Medical Association, Ohio State Medical Association, and Parkersburg Academy of Medicine.
