Palliative Care
Palliative care can be provided at any time during a person’s illness—from the time of diagnosis to the same time as curative treatment. Palliative care is the comprehensive treatment of discomfort, stress, and other symptoms of serious illness without replacing a patient’s primary treatment. The purpose of palliative care is to address symptoms such as pain, breathing difficulties, or nausea—all in order to achieve the best quality of life possible for each patient.

Why Choose Us
Palliative care and hospice care, though they both focus on the comfort of a patient, are two extremely different focuses. The main difference is the form of treatment and the manner of care that is given. Our palliative care team works with patients and family members to identify issues impacting the patient’s wellbeing and eliminate or minimize these problems. Family members also receive education and support to develop and strengthen coping strategies in the treatment and care of their loved one. The goal is to prevent and ease discomfort and improve your quality of life.
