Sistersville General Hospital is the newest addition to Memorial Health System, joining us in October 2020. Our system keeps the goal to provide access to specialty care and other services close to home at the heart of what we do, especially with Sistersville. Sistersville General Hospital was established in 1908 by Dr. Phillip H. Webb. After a few moves, the hospital at its present location was officially opened in July of 1929. Later in 1952, the hospital became a city hospital for Sistersville and the surrounding community.

The extended care unit provides care for patients who require skilled service before returning home. The unit’s goal is to return patients to their optimum level of independence. In addition, family members are welcome to visit and participate in the patient’s care.

Sistersville General’s cafeteria is open the public and offers a wide variety of foods at affordable prices. It is located on the ground floor of the hospital and is open from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. 

Sistersville General Hospital assumes the caregiver responsibility for the patient’s services normally provided in the patient’s home.

The Fitness Center exists to provide comprehensive, medically based fitness services to its members, allowing them the opportunity to achieve their maximum potential health, fitness, and well-being. This center exists as a community benefit to improve overall health and support the hospital’s services.
